Dear student,
The KCET exam is conducted by KEA for admission to 1st year UG level courses. Therefore, a transfer to the 2nd year through a CET rank of 114000 is not a viable option. However, for admission to 2nd-year lateral entry UG courses, KEA conducts the Karnataka DCET 2025 exam, which is usually held in May.
For changing your college in the 2nd year from Yenepoya Institute of Technology Thodar Moodbidre, you may also opt for an inter-college transfer after completing the 1st year. Certain guidelines and conditions must be met for this process. Generally, to be eligible, you must have cleared all 1st-year papers and secured a good score. Considering your SGP of 8.05, you should be eligible for the transfer. Still, the final approval depends on seat availability and the discretion of the university management.
